Vol. 2 No. Issue: 1, March , pg. 1044-1068 (2025): ROLE OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN DEVELOPING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS' BEHAVIOUR

Abstract
The present research paper has been conducted on the topic of environmental education and the
undergraduate student behaviours across the globe. The aim of the research paper is to analyse the
role of environmental education along with its impact on developing undergraduate students’
behaviour. Therefore, the researcher has applied the Social Learning Theory and Ecological
Systems Theory in the literature review section for providing an in-depth understanding of the
learning and behavioural aspects of the undergraduate students regarding the emergence of
environmental education. However, the researcher has integrated many appropriate research
methodologies in this research for offering a suitable and acceptable conclusion on this research
topic. However, the thematic analysis has found out that the consideration of environmental
education in the undergraduate courses can allow the students to improve their awareness regarding
sustainability and environmental issues in the surroundings. Despite the issues of this curriculum,
the researcher has stated that the teachers and the education ministry of the countries can promote
the environmental themes across the curriculum, utilize the technology, promote practical learning
as well as foster a sense of environmental responsibility.
